Spring Hill Case Study: UX Leads the Journey
A custom website gives students clear direction and a path to enrollment.
Wiley Education Services handles marketing, lead generation, recruitment, and enrollment for more than 70 partners, representing more than 800 programs. As one of the behemoth OPMs, their business is focused on high-performing conversion and enrollment engines that are critical for enrollment ROI.
One of their university partners is Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama. Wiley, already a long-standing Rebel client, came to us with a need to build a new custom website on their behalf—one that would better highlight Spring Hill’s brand and student experience and help prospects and students more quickly enroll.
Building a Better Experience
Based on existing website performance, Spring Hill was struggling with applications and enrollment. Due to the site’s existing architecture and duplicative information, current and prospective students were having a tough time navigating the site and, as a result, enrolling.
With a focus on the student journey and UX, we dug into the issues around site design, functionality, accessibility, and more to uncover technical and strategic requirements for the new site. It was important that the new custom website not only leverage the school’s existing solid brand identity but allow users to navigate its content, resources, and application process effectively and quickly, with the goal of increasing the school’s overall enrollment numbers.
Acting as an arm of Wiley University Services, Rebel worked closely with Spring Hill College to overhaul the website design. Key upgrades included implementing new, more accessible and intuitive course and degree pages that led to faster conversion. Rebel also established a stronger online presence, both in terms of the website and with SEO, utilizing optimized content, and tagging.
SHC is extremely pleased with their new website, as is the Wiley team. The work Rebel did on this site enabled Wiley to trust us with an even larger opportunity for another partner school.
